Cost leadership strategy

Cost leadership strategy is the generic strategy in which firms strive to have the lowest costs in the industry, relative to competitors’ costs and typically attract customers by offering them a low, if not the lowest, price for the products they sell. ASSUSTeK computer, the company that sells the $300 Eee PC laptop computer, clearly has a cost-leadership strategy.
